DVD problems

Hi

I have a Lite-On DVD recorder which used to produce a bright blue screen on the TV. Since I bought my new Panasonic 32" LCD TV, the screen is bright green instead. I've tried to record from the Sky+ box hard drive to the DVD but the results are very poor.

The Sky+ box and DVD recorder are placed immediately behind the TV. The Sky+ box is on wooden batons an inch or so above the DVD recorder, which is on a wooden shelf behind the TV, the top of the DVD recorder being about the same level as the top of the TV.

Can you tell me what I need to do to put matters right?

Bright blue screen? Bright green screen? Neither sounds ideal!

What connections are you using? I presume it's nothing as simple as having connected via component and wrongly corrected the cables, or indeed just a loose video connection? When do you get this screen - recording or playback? Or always?
