I never have, but my parents did back in the seventies on an old WYE record player.

I have seen the same product on ebay sometime back must still be making them or very old stock, (Very,Very,Very oldstock).

Clear plastic with a big rokler brush that didn'r revolve if I am not very much mistaken and a suction support post to keep in place and obviousy to support it.. Suppose they did the job but look naff.

I also remember the Dust Bug on my mother's Dual CS 1249. I thought it was a ridiculous idea because it made the belt drive run slower and then she didn't know how to adjust the pitch control.

Wouldn't recommend one!

Servo/Quartz controlled tables will adjust for the minute drag the arm creates and turntables with pitch control can do so by manual adjustment.

It sometimes surprises me what the little dust bug picks up from my (wet cleaned) records even after the carbon brush and micro cloth treatment before playing.

Would I get out of my way to get one? No, but I happily use the one I have.

regards

That's the very beastie!!!

What a load of tosh. Glad it didn't cost much.

The idea is to clean your LP before it goes on the turntable not try and clean it whilst it is on there,

Servo/Quartz controlled tables will adjust but, unfortunately, the more common belt drives will not. It certainly threw my old Rega way out of spec. - avoid like the plague. :)
