I have a few questions about daps.
If i bought a fiio m21, can I transfer via usb 3 from pc to the dap, but specifically to the installed sd card?

Yes, shouldn't be a problem. If PC doesn't recognise the DAP via USB connection in the first instance, I believe FiiO has USB drivers you can download from their site.

You can also use a USB SD card, if your PC/laptop doesn't have a SD slot, to download your music files directly to SD.

I bought a usb 3 to sd card dongle(sandisc), so hopefully that will ensure it works.

I have the exact same, works great on my Windows 11 PC. Should be fine also, for all versions of Windows, even Linux.
