Diffrence between Pioneer PDP 428XD and 4280XD?

Does anybody know the diffrence between the Pioneer PDP 428XD and the Pioneer PDP 4280XD? Also, could people recommend me an alternative TV for around £1200? I'm looking for 42" to go with Arcam FMJ A32, Wharfedale EVO2 30s, Panasonic BD-10 player, Arcam CD73T etc etc...many thanks!

4280 is 'missing' some features you won't really miss unless you're absolutely hardcore. If you use the 'compare' feature on Pioneer's website you can see the differences for yourself:
- a USB input port and software to turn images it find from USB into a slideshow
- a subwoofer output (which you won't need if you're running your sound through 5.1 AV amp/receive anyway

- 'ISF' calibration = "Via optional service, a trained professional can precisely calibrate your plasma panel with customised levels of contrast, tint, colour level and other parameters."
There used to be a price differential between the two models but I've seen several places with both models at the same price.
Also AFAIK the 428 is only available through 'specialised' dealers i.e. not your average high street chains.

Also, the 4280 comes with a pedestal stand whereas the 428 doesn't.
