difference between denon D-M37DAB and iTube Valve?

denon has cd player, iTube has i-pod dock but they are both amps right? And why are they always recommended with speakers under 200 pounds? For example wouldn't they work with B&W 685 as good as they would work with cheaper speakers?

Hi the answer to this has to do with the fact that B&W in particular sound at their best when paired with powerful amplification which is something that the DM 37 and entry level fatman can not provide. However I would also point out that the DM 37 paired with MA BR2's sounds fantastic so it's not like a budget speaker means average quality.
