DENON PMA520AE - what speakers?

Just purchased a second hand Denon PMA520AE, what would be a good option for speakers, need a very budget option, but small bookshelf size, I like the Q acoustics 2010's. For use with a Marantz turn table.

Q Acoustics are a good bet with the Denon, since the Denon is a bit clinical, and the Q Acoustics will take the edge off.

maybe you can find 2010i or 3010 to go with it. You could also take your amp in to audition.

not really sure, but Q Acoustics are some kind of a budget champion. Maybe Wharfedale 220 are worth a shot, especially if space is really tight.

If youre buying 2nd hand speakers you could do worse than the old 90's mission bookshelf speakers. Back in the day i used to have some Mission 751's, they were lovely (i just preffered floorstanders so upgarded to 733i's). You could pick up a pair of 751's for about £50/60

Thanks Phil, just had a look on ebay, only 1 pair going for 120, I still quite fancy these q acoutic 2010's, with the amp being 70 watts and the speakers are only 80, would that be safe enough for them not to blow?
