Denon not outputting picture via hdmi

Hi my old lg 1080p tv is under repair under warranty with currys so i bought down my asda hd ready tv but the hdmi wont send picture to set is it because its only 720p

My guess is you just need to change the input setting on the tv.

Has it got a source button on the tv remote?

Press that, then change to hdmi input.

Cant find one and if i take a hdmi from the atv,sky hd,xbox,wd live streaming via hdmi it shows the picture so im guessing i will need use a component lead from the denon.
