Hi All Looking for some advise as stated in an early post under another Topic

Have Recently Put my 40" Sony Bravia On the wall

Seperate Kit iam using is Sky+hd Xbox360 Elite Pioneer Av Reciever ( Soundsyle xs Av Rack + All Qed Cables )

As Above Originally Removed Denon DVD2910 Hdmi Dvd Player Thinking that i would get similar

Performance from The Xbox watching Dvds But after serveral views iam not sure?!

So was thinking a re-fitting the denon to my setup, ( Via Hdmi Switching Box ) Would there Be any diffrence to

The Pic Performance or is it Just My Imagination ?

I've never done an A/B comparison between the two, but i'd be shocked if the Denon wasn't far better for DVD performance than the Xbox - the Denon is a dedicated DVD player, while the Xbox is a games console that happens to also play DVDs: big difference there!

I have to say, even as a MASSIVE xbox fan and an elite owner; the picture quality with DVD plpayback through the elite is.....well let's say, not incredible. It's not shocking, but your Denon will beat the elite's picture quality by a fair bit in a A/B comp.

Denon all day long, dont get me wrong as I love my 360 but would neer consider it as my main DVD player if there is a good Denon in the house.

The Elite's DVD performance is frankly pretty dire by any standard. Great for games but lousy for DVDs. I haven't seen the 2910 in action, but if it's even half as good as the 2930, it'll wipe the floor with the Elite.ÿ
