G'day all

Are there any reviews on the Denon DCD-500AE CD Player? I couldn't find any in my What HiFi magazines. But I don't have any of the recent issues.

I picked up a used one at an auction for $79 (40UKP)so it seemed like a good deal. I hope it's a decent unit, it should go nicely with my Denon DVD-1930.

Thanks,

Conway

I picked up the CD player today, it's actually a DCM500AE. Anyone have this player or know if it's been reviewed?

Maybe someone can advise me on a cable connection question then.

As I'm more a 'Home Theatre' person, I am unsure on the besy way to connect this CD Player to my AV Receiver. I have a spare QED Performance Digital Audio coaxial cable, I am using this at the moment, is this the best method of connection or should I invest in a good Stereo Interconnect cable?

Thank you,

Conway

To be honest, I wouldn't have bothered - I reckon your dvd player will be a match for it in stereo sound. Anyway, if you are connected to your Sony AV receiver, just use a pair of RCA (red and white) cables and when you play a cd, use the 2 channel stereo direct button.
