Denon 2310 upscaling

I just got my New AV Denon 2310. I am connecting my Set Top Box SD Analog output( STB do not have HDMI out) to the AV & using the HDMI out to connect it to my Panny 32 HD ready TV.

The PQ is very poor.

Can someone suggest the Setup to improve the PQ.

The problem is that although the Denon has a pretty good Anchor Bay Scaler, there is only so much it can do.

It's a bit like the computer sayin GI GO - garbage in / garbage out, there is only so much that can be dome by the scaler.

You could ensure that the video processing is set to scale upto the resolution of your set, this will br in the HDMI setup menu and needs to be set to Anlaogue/HDMI to 720p or 1080I (HD ready).

The only real solution is to get Sky HD+ and like me, convert your mind to watch as much HD content as possible. FX HD is a great channel.
