dose anybody know the diference between the hdmi settings on this player ie is component or rgb the best. My screen will take either. and what component type dose it dish out there are two different types i think with some sort of number ratio after them.

Component or RGB? Whichever looks best on your screen. The number ratio probably refers to 50hz or 60Hz working, depending on whether you're outputting NTSC or PAL.
