I have a Denon Dm37 (30w @ 6ohm) with 9.1's. I was planning to swap the 9.1's with some 1050i's/Tannoy F4's to get a bigger, beefier sound- £400/£450 total, but now I've been sorely tempted with an offer way out of my initial price range.
The offer is to upgrade my amp to Denon F107 (65w @ 4ohm) and pick up some Dali Lektor suite 2.8's for £400, total price; £750. I'm considering this as I've heard the Dali's are supposed to be £1000 speakers and the opportunity is just to good to ignore. Starting to see my dillema? I was wondering though:
a) Given that most of my music is 256/320kb mp3 (hence the reliance on Denon USB Hifi's), is the second setup just overkill- me being greedy- or would I be a fool to let such a wonderful opportunity go? Will the difference of £1000 speakers knock me over with joy?
b) Would the Denon /Dali's set up work anyway, power and quality wise?
And I know there is a Teac reference USB amp @75w, but it's also £1000! No way.
Please give advice, thanks.
