DacMagic upgrade

Hello to all,

I´ve got a Cambridge DacMagic and so far I´m happy with it!However I´m a big fan of Rega and so when the Rega Dac was released I thought"Why not give it a chance?"Do you think is worthwhile to upgrade my DacMagic to a Rega Dac or no?I would like to get feedback from Rega owners!One of the reasons I am not so excited with the upgrading ideai is that sometimes I feel that Rega sound is a bit veiled!

The Rega should be a good improvement, but also try the Musical Fidelity M1......if possible, get both home for a demo.

I've listened to both the Rega Dac and Cambridge Audio DacMagic and to be honest, the Rega Dac is more musical. However, I feel the Cambridge can hold its own. It depends on what you are using your dac for mainly. If it's mainly for music, I say give the Rega a go. However, if you are using it for a myriad of other things like PS3, Blu-Ray etc., just stick with the Cambridge.

Just my opinion. Best to go give the Rega Dac an audition.

Mostly I use the stereo to listen music!I´m using the USB PC output connected to my DacMagic to listen FLAC and I have a 340 c transport!My amp is a Densen B 110 and my speakers Epos M 15, so I guess I could do an upgrade to my Dac . The IC is an Atlas Equator and spk cables are Audioquest Midnight!

Not veiled,but sometimes a bit veiled!I like the Rega smooth sound !
