dac magic settings

i brought my dac magic when thay first came out and i love it and i could hear the improvment straight away but i must admit i dont hear much change when i switch between the setings min,lin,steep,filter/phase

has any one found a setting that works for them with all music or a perticular type of music

or would any one be able to explane these setings to me and what thay should do.

I started to find that one blended into another. I might at the time have argued that steep sounded better than linear on simple stuff, but I got bored of getting up to change it so just left it on the normal one...
