Dac for Arcam cd17 player.

Will an Arcam irDac or Rega dac with an Arcam 17 cd player improve sound quality.Arcam amp and B&W 684 speakers.

No, is the short answer in my opinion.

The CD17 is an excellent player, which I owned before my Creek Evo 2. To be honest I have had an Arcam rDAC before and when experimenting with my CD17, Evo 2 or SBT found it made no difference whatsoever, and since I no longer have a PC downstairs feeding a DAC optically I no longer have any need for a seperate Dac of any make or description.
