Would a Cyrus CD 6 SE CD Player and 8vs2 2-channel integrated amplifier go well with a pair of B&W 685 loudspeakers?

I am aware that the Cyrus's would be much better powering a better and more expensive pair of loudspeakers, but sonically-speaking, are the Cyrus a suitable match with the B&W 685 loudspeakers?

I think this pairing might be a little on the forward side. The 8VS2 amp can sound a little lean, but the B&W's might counteract that. It's well worth having an audition before purchasing to make sure it suits you, as you're the one who has to live with the mistake or spend more money sorting it out.

I have the same electonics into the big brother of the 685s: the B&W 683s. I love the sound. I don't think it is too forward, although it is very detailed.

Just my 2cents.

Had 685s on the end of biamped 6 powers. Initally sounded great but then prolonged listening turned the sound harsh to me so eventually changed. But my friend loved the sound? So i advise to audition (long audition if you can!).
