Cyrus DAC with 8SE

Many of you know I own cyrus 8se with psx Pre XVS with psx and two smartpowers. Now im looking towards there DAC X, how would this match with the 8SE as compared to the XTSE. Thanks

Yes they belnd well together as you would expect. I used to use a DC8 with the DAC-x and the sound was fantastic.

When i sent my cd8 x to Cyrus for se upgrade i also had it made into the xtse as the transport does sound a little better than a 8se used as a transport.Maybe its because the toroid inside in xtse just has to power the transport but the 8se has to power the onboard dac im not sure.The difference is subtle though and unless you have a very transparent system wont be very obvious at all.
