Currently B&W P5 straight into Asus D1. How to upgrade sound?

Do I need a better pci/pci express soundcard I could spend upto £200 and don't mind 2nd hand/ebay

Could I need a USB DAC of some description new or second hand at the same price?

Seen the top Asus Xonar cards for about £160 is that going to improve the sound to the P5 phones a lot or would a DAC?

Please list some recommendations for me please all my Flacs are on my pc and I don't care about wireless

I find this to be a pretty neat solution, although it works better if your PC has optical or coax output because they use a better quality DAC chip than the USB section.

There are probably a number of units which combine a DAC and headphone amp to help get the most out of your P5s. I think a number of people in the forum use the caiman so may be able advise
