Seems the only local dealers are Super-Fis - yuk

Creek do a 14 day trial

Anybody offer any insight into wether Creek & Rega are a good match? (RP6, DAC and RS3 speakers)

I might demo a Caspian M2 - not sure how Roksan goes with Rega?

What else arounf the £1600 mark? Demoed a Nait XS2 but not keen!

Can't answer the question about the Destiny

Out of interest, why do you mention RP6 when your sig says Michell?

The Destiny 2 is a gorgeous sounding amp. I've only heard it with Harbeths so I can't comment on how it would pair with your system. If you are considering trying something other than the Rega, I feel the Creek would be worth a try. I do feel that, in general, Rega kit works best with Rega kit but there must be other combinations that work nicely too.

The Destiny 2 sounds like it has some quality components inside, and more than double the amount of capapcitors inside - dunno if that has any bearing on sound though!

I can imagine the Destiny 2 would be lovely with Harbies.

At the risk of sounding like a scratched record, the Sugden A21a Series 2 (£1769 with phono stage) is a must-hear. Sugden are well represented in the Midlands, I think.

Takes the pressure off me.

It would be my amp of choice around £2k

Cno - the Sugden or Creek

I'm a "Class A" addict......though it will come down to the match with your speakers.

I'm always very hesitant when it comes to second guessing what someone else will prefer......though I'm with Matt when he says that IF you are moving away from Rega, it's a must audition (along with Creek, Electro and Pathos).

Also, are your Rega speakers there for the foreseeable?....or do you have "plans"?. This will also have a bearing on where you should head.

my head is a shed at the min!

long term I know the RS3 will go !

My advice is to get your head straight before making any big decisions.

IMO. It's only if you change away from Rega that a match with your future speakers becomes a possible issue....which certainly adds complication.

FWIW. I would be looking at Sugden + Harbeth, or possibly Proac / Kef.

Interesting Steve. Been toying with an amp upgrade and if so would be looking at £2000 aprox, waiting for some financial news first. Top of list has been Creek Destiny 2, rega (some reservations now), Sugden, roksan. One issue will be. How far have to travel from South Coast, probably to London.

Hmmmm.... Sugden + Harbeth! If I ever get the money for that combination.............

Steve, both the Creek and the Sugden are divine. Perhaps you should audition.

In the Elicit R thread somebody point out the Exposure 3010 it was in my list to demo but no dealer in Portugal. If you are going to keep the RS3 I think you should listen to Sonneteer Campion and Alabaster.
