Conversion problem MP4 to DVD video

I'm trying to convert MP4 and .flv files to burn to a DVD that's playable on a Toshiba DVD player. I'm using a freebie program (Any Video Converter) on Windows XP.

It's set to output to PAL video. I expect to get the usual two folders, AUDIO_TS abd VIDEO_TS. But what I get is a single mpeg2video file, and the player won't recognise it. Same result with the NTSC output option.

Any ideas please? Many thanks

Answered my own question, in case anyone out there is interested. I scrapped that software, and another brand that failed me, and downloaded 'Free video to DVD converter', which does the job quickly and apparently efficiently. It seems simpler, perhaps because it's specialized for converting to a format suitable for a DVD player.
