connecting samsung LE37B650T2WXXU

Today I officially morphed into my elderly dad. I bought a Samsung LE37B650T2WXXU and subsequently spent 3 hours unsuccessfully trying to set it up. The kids looked on in total disgust at a man they used to respect, making hard work of setting up a TV and blaming anybody but himself.

My old TV connected to the sky box through a scart lead and set up was quick and painless. I’m clearly missing the obvious but I have connected it in the same way as the old tv, followed the plug and play instructions and nothing is happening (even after swearing at both the tv and sky box). Please can somebody have pity on a man at the end of his tether and tell me what I’m doing wrong?

if you have connected with a scart lead you have to go to ext 1 or ext 2 depending on wich one you plugged the scart into. you do this by the source buttom on the tv remote control just switch the sky box on and press the source button until you get sky on the tv.
