Hi, last year I ivested in a Philips 32PFL9632D which I am extremely pleased with. I am trying to connect a laptop to it using the HDMI connection from my laptop (Dell XPSM1530) to one of the HDMI connections on thje back of the TV. I then set the HDMI in the connections menu to PC. Despite this I still cannot the laptop through the PC. Could anyone tell me if I am missing something as I'm sure I've followed the instructions in the TV user manual. Thanks

You probably have to tell the Laptop to send the signal to the TV as by default it only sends it to your screen.

Adjust it on the laptop settings. This is what I had to do.

Often one of the function keys at the top of the keyboard has something that looks like a blue-coloured TV screen - if you press Fn + whatever that key is, you can scroll round the outputs - it's Fn+F7 on my Vaio if I remember.........

Thank you very much John Duncan. Fn / F8 it was. Weeks of frustration gone in a second!

Cheers

It's also worth mentioning that you may have to adjust your screen settings/resolution on your laptop; I have my PC connected to my 2 year old Samsung that isn't full HD, so I have to have my computer resolution set to something like 763 by 1024 as opposed to the higher settings computer screens are usually set to.
