hi just wonderd what is best for 5.1 sound,coaxal or optical befor i waste some more money

as either only support lossy codecs like DTS or Dolby Digital. I would be surprised if you could tell the difference, I certainly couldn't.

moving to HD sound (DTS-MA or Dolby True HD)via HDMI however was a massive improvement to my ears.
