Cleaning an lcd screen

just brought my first lcd, so used to having glass in front of the screen how do I clean it without damaging it?

you can buy proper lcd cleaning set from places like currys and comet but do not use any old cleaning cloth or any other cleaner as you will damage screen permantly

You should have been given a cloth for the job with the tv if it was new.

Ive tried a few for my laptop and LCD with limited success. Then i found one by the E cloth people who were the originators of the micro fibre cloths. Its like a piece of silk, but the best bit of the kit is the bottle of Clean Safe spray that comes with it. I dont think they make it as ive seen it sold seperatly. This stuff is marketed as enviroment friendly which normally means ***** but not this stuff. Cleans well and leaves no smears. It appears to be anti stat as well.

I recommend the Philips Screen Cleaning Gel. See this link. A bargain at a tenner & the only thing that goes near my Sony.
