Cleaning an amp

So how offen should you take your amp apart to clean it, if you should do it at all, mine is about 3yrs old I have never taken the top off would you advise this? What do you do once the top is off, guess you just blast it with compressed air?

Unless your kat (get it!) always sits ontop of it, I very much doubt it needs a clean after 3 years. 5 years maybe...if you want to though, compressed air at a near perpendicular angle is probably the best approach (not too close mind). And you could give the pots a bit of a brush with a very soft paintbrush, but otherwise leave it be.

And make sure you have turned it off for atleast an hour before going inside...capacitors arn't to be messed with!
