Clamp for Rega TT

Hi,

Does any one with a Rega TT use a Clamp?

Did you hear a difference before and after?

Is it worth spending £40 some thing on one like this?

Well my Pro-Ject came with a clamp and I never use it. I tried it but in all honesty it made no difference to my ears.

I used to have a Planar 3. Tried a couple of clamps, heavy weight and screw down, but honestly could not hear any difference. They may help if you have warped LP's but again you'd have to listen for yourself and decide. ... Not much help I know but unless you have something wrong with your set-up I cannot see that spending £40 on a clamp is going to solve it.

Buy ore vinyl.

I havre the Michelle/Rega clamp, I sometimes use it but I can't honestly hear a difference. It does ensure a flatter vinyl.

After seeing some comments on other forums I chose a cheap option which is a hockey puck. Just drill a hole in the centre and push it on. It works great for me. And costs less than 2 quid. So it's worth experimenting with.
