Chinese needle ?

A majority of hi-fi gear is manufactured in china. It set me thinking are there any turntable manufactures in china or companys that use chinese based production.? :quest:

I would imagine rather a lot, as China manufactures most of what we use in the world.

Depends on how you define "audiophile". It is not uncommon to market mainstream products with fancy packaging as "audiophile products".

I think I need to be a bit more convinced of the truth of the info on that link.

I thought all Pro-ject turntables were built in the Czech Replublic.

Andrew's Pro-ject blog last year stated...

"And the products are still built as they always have been: everything to do with the turntables is made from scratch in the factory in Litovel"

"Even the company’s growing electronic range is built in Europe, at another factory in the Czech Republic, and for the same reasons: ‘we didn’t go to China, as so many companies have; we had the luck to work from the start with a very professional company.’ "

Perhaps Henley Designs can confirm the truth of the matter if they are reading this.

As far as I know, they're still made in the Czech Republic.
