Hi, im going to change my current interconnect (brilliance synergy) for something that could tame the treble a little. I was thinking in the lines of the atlas equator superior or dnm reson- which one would be best for my needs?

Hi there. Why not (if you haven't already) experiment with the interconnects you have already?

I had the Van den Hul Integration Hybrid recommended to me and I love it. The company has always had a warm reputation so why not one of theirs within your budget? The Name interconnect gets some good reviews.

I'd have a good look at what you intend to buy, consider if the outlay is worth it and ask for a home demo. Listen to some cheapo wires too and then, if you can, get someone to blind test them on you. Then decide what you want to buy.

JoelSim:
I've said it before, change your amp or speakers.

If I could I would Joel, I had an offer to add pre/power naim combo but that would cost me £1500 with my Kandy traded in...that I'd just money I don't have. Any other options? It's not that the treble is unbearable it is no way like that, I'm trying to fine tune so a cable could do the trick. Not many people offer home demos but pratical hi-fi might which is not far from. The question is that I think they may only sell chord.

Just to throw a little spice to the mix, I popped into town today for a couple of things, one of which was a new headset for Skype. When I was in User2 (an Edinburgh computer shop) I noticed a set of interconnects which stood out simply because they were a phono cable in a computer shop, hence worth a look.

Here's the website and link to the pair I bought:-

...currently trying them out and they are very, very impressive. Very clean sound, no real difference from the Audioquest Copperhead normally on duty (this is linking the amp and CDP). Highly recommended.

2m pair, £6.95. Or, roughly, one-tenth the cost of the Audioquest cable.

At that price, WHFS&V could buy a pair and try them out.

i managed to calm some slighty splashy and hard treble when i changed my speaker cables to solid core copper from multistrand silver, the difference was very apparent, given that this is what the dmn interconnect is you may have some joy with that although the differences in signal strenghts handled between speaker cable and interconnects is very different. i did try comparing a chord cobra 3 v qed silverspiral between my amp and cdp and the differences were minimal, though i do appreciate the cobra is multistrand
