change 7spk system to soundbar

I have a 7 spk Kef 2000 series & subwoofer served me well,but living room cluttered,wife wants them out,thinking Qacoustics Media 4 sound bar,my problem I have Onkyo receiver I run on it Humax STB Xbox360 Sony Blue ray DVD and a Roku stick all on HDMI,understand Qacoustics Media 4 lacks HDMI and has phono,optical,coaxial,connections,taking out the 7 speakers and connecting sound bar optical,or Coaxial,or phono to receiver,will I still get sound from my Humax and the others to the Soundbar

Could you not save your self some money and do away with the speakers your wife doesn't want in the room and leave the front three and the subwoofer. It would be fare better than the sound bar any day. Failing that get the q acoustics active speakers and use the tv as the hdmi switcher. Can't remember the modal number of the speakers. Again they will sound better and you can add your subwoofer to them as well
