Centre speaker placement.

Hi I am currently in the process of upgrading my speakers for my Onyko 606. I have the Jamoa102hcs5 at the moment but have just purchased two pairs of q acoustics 1010i's. My question is when I get the centre speaker it night not fit under my tv like the jamo does. I have a shelf directly above the tv would this be ok for the speaker?.

I Had the same Problem Which Now I have worked out, but when I had the Centr eUp high it sounded a bit bassy because it was close to the wall and it has a rear port hole, so I would suggest you find a front firing port centre, if you go for that option.

Hi the shelf is a corner shelf and the speaker would be at the front going across.

How Far from the wall, will that be.and will it be above the tv, cause that will make the words seem as they are coming from the TV

I've tried my speaker on top of TV before and it sounded weird, much better underneath

Hi thanks for the replys I am just going to buy it and hope it will fit where my jamo's currently sitting. It is on the same shelf as the tv but the pedal stand takes up most of the shelf.Will see if I can move the telly back a bit as the q acoustic is quite a bit bigger.

yes in froint of the tv will also be good.guess it wount cover the image.

what about puting te tv on a small shelf right abore the center speaker?

I had the same problem, which I solved today.

Bought 3 cube shelfs from next for 14.00 and used the biggest one for the centre, so thats on top of my tv cabinet and my tv is 31cm on the wall

Works a treat and looks nice as well
