Celestion A3...are they worth it?

Celestion a3...what would you pay for a pair second hand in decent condition. What do they sound like and what new speaker would sound similar.

Amp would be nad c370 or arcam alpha 9 (I own both) - are these good enough?

Also what would you have to pay to get better. Thanks.

I have owned A2's and still have a pair of A1's, both sound fantastic but need some driving.

Compared to wharfedale diamond 9.6 or monitor audio rs/x 6/8 / monitor audio gold how do they compare in transparency etc. I want to get a feel for how good they are because I can't hear them before U buy

I have Celestion A2 and they need a powerful amp- Nad is better than Arcam as Arcam is too warm with these. When they come up on auction sites and the like they go for under £500. They produce a lot of bass but ar refined and smooth hence the Nad amplifier to give them som get up and go.

They are much better than MA RS6 and the like.
