l have a modified Trichord Arcam Alpha 5 CD which is becoming a little unreliable when reading discs, particularly CD R's. I've tried a lens cleaner and also removed the lid & gently manually cleaned the lens.
The power comes from an Arcam Alpha 8 integrated & 9 power, with Epos M5i 'speakers & DNM biwire cable/Gotham interconnects.
Considering alternative CD source, that will also handle CD-R discs & don't mind second hand; budget is around £200 ish.
Recommendations & opinions welcome.
