HI All,

is there such a thing as a small CD Player that can connect to wireless speakers (Sonos of choice..)? I'm looking for a discrete solution that will allow me to listen to CDs without taking up much space...

I suspect the answer is to buy a normal CD player and connect it to something like a Sonos Port (not sure if I would need an amp)...

thanks for any thoughts

mike

You could buy a CD player with a nice DAC in it and connect it to a pair of active speaker via its digital connections.

You have plenty of options in the active speaker market.

Most CD players output line level voltage only so you would need some means of not only connecting but also controlling volume.
Bluesound make the Hub for this reason but there has to be an amplifier in the setup somewhere.

Audio pro addon c10 mkii has a line level input, that you could connect a cd player to, maybe others do to, but I own a c 10 mkii and that's the only reason I know.lol.

You should look for powered speakers that have an aux input or RCA inputs. Connect the CD player. The speakers should have volume controls. Simple to do. Or look for a compact stereo unit with small speakers- Denon, Panasonic, and Teufel offer nice ones. Simple to do. Plenty of options for both CD players and powered speakers. Get a Sony DVD player with RCA output. Cheap and sounds good.
