CD Micro System with Lightning adaptor

Hi

I bought my mum a iPad mini last year and now want to get her a micro system so she can play all her cd's and itunes and listen to DAB radio.

anyone bought something similar, a lot seem to be for the old 30 pin adaptor, not the lightning, ideally don't want a cable for the lightning but rather a dock!

Would Airplay not suffice? I always considered docks for iPads a bit...unsafe.

A few options are starting to appear now with lightning docks. The best option IMO is the panasonic PMX7DB. Onkyo I think also do one. However, I don't think either of these would fit anything larger than an iPhone. You could use an older model with a 30 pin dock and use an adapter. The standard adapter may give you stability problems. Last time I checked a better option would be the flybridge dock or the photofast lightning mount, although you may have to import these.
