Buy them, assuming the drivers are good, undamaged and no issues. They were about £800 in the late 90s and my mate had a pair. £80? Nothing to touch them at the price.

The drivers look as new! What sort of sound can i expect from these, and what could I compare these to in today's market

The many reviews by Google may be more valuable than a few opinions here. You should be able to sell them on if not to your taste. Price seems good for a really good pair. Any here with personal experience might chip in.,
