Ages ago when I watched Casino Royale on DVD on a Sony LCD I noticed that the picture looked weird and unnatural - it almost looked like it was in fast-forward but at normal speed - if that makes any sense whatsoever?!! Anyway, recently I was having a look in a Bang & Olufsen shop and the salesperson pointed this same thing out to me when he was showing me the Bang & Olufsen Beovision 7 tv, playing the Casino Royale DVD. Has anyone else noticed this weird effect?

haven't noticed it. During the entire fillum, or only during a specific scene. I imagine they probably sped up that free-jumping scene at the start to add a bit of dynamism...

All the way through the film. It's especially noticeable, well, all the way through, but for example: In the casino scene where Bond is at the table playing snap (or whatever card game they are actually playing) the movement seems like it's almost in fast forward, a bit like on the PS3 when you are fast-forwarding through a film at x1.5 speed. Except slightly slower, like x1.3 or something. Also, on the airport runway when Bond is er, running, the same thing is evident (well, to me anyway - though maybe that's the dru... I'd better stop myself here) You're probably right that they have done that on purpose to inject some "dynamism" (whatever that means

). Otherwise it must have just been a funny disc. I've just remembered that I have actually got this film on DVD so at some point I will check it out to see if my copy has this same 'effect'. Soon the mystery be over...
