can i get better then the mordaunt short genie 5.1 for £500 ?

bare in mind the genie come with built in stands wich im not willing to fork out extra cash for and also im looking for something of the same size

cant spend more then £500 (pounds)

any advice/ideas/sugestions are more then welcome thanks

The Q Acoustics 1010 5.1 system would sound better for the same money, as would the Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 HCP. Neither would look as shiny, obviously....

If it's style sub-sats you're after, you can pick up the older KEF 'eggs' (KEF 2005s) for around £600 or less - audition those against the Genies and see what you think.
