didn't someone from Cambridge Audio post somewhere else in another thread that this unit is NOT a direct replacement for the old Dacmagic? Yet your review says it is. Can anyone confirm whether this is true?

The DacMagic 100 replaces the original model, you're thinking of the next model up, the £350 DacMagic Plus, which we've already tested (4 stars). More info in our original news story.

If it isn't the direct replacement it's arguably the closest thing in the new range that is, so it probably doesn't matter one way or the other.
