In my previous thread re Audio Vector's I mentioned that I wondered if ATC SCM 40's would have any trouble being used with Sugden amplification. To recap, my acoustically challenging room... 13ft by 7.5ft laminet floor, double glazed windows from floor to ceiling with the speakers having to be placed in cornersapprox 8ft apart
You said you had plenty of clients who happily use this combo of speaker and amp without boom- would this still be the case in my room? Also, are there any similarities between ATC and ProAc in terms of SQ?

Perhaps I will. Just thought as he's normally a regular contributer to the forum, this might be just as easy and less time consuming for him and didn't really want to bother him, particularly as I'm not likely to be a prospective client.

Still got the D18's on home dem and they really are a beautiful speaker, but no decision till I hear the ATC which will hopefully be some time next week. Will report back then.

My SCM40s arrived two days ago (thanks Rick) and are running-in non-stop. They sound great already so when they're fully run-in they should be amazing. Will be interested to hear your comparison though
