Cable blunder!

System: Marantz M-CR502, Tannoy F1Custom speakers, Chord Company Carnival Silverscreen cable.

I mistakingly ordered cables with banana plug termination on both ends. While this is fine for the speakers, it won't fit the Marantz terminals. Should I send cables back or cut the termination off at one end so it'll fit the Marantz terminals and use the cables this way?

I'm not familiar with the amp but does it have small bungs in the speaker binding posts that you can remove with a small wood screw or pliers? Under EU law the banana plug holes have to be bunged off in the UK but they should still be there...

I see no reason why they shouldnt fit. Do you still have the little plastic plugs in the end of the marantz terminals....if you do just remove them and there should be a 4mm hole there ready to push the plugs into.

Just looked at the 360 view on the Marantz website and you should be able to use banana plugs.
