CA DAC Magic Upgrade Cyrus 6XPd

Current system - CA DAC Magic, Cyrus 6XP, B&W 685

Is upgrading the Cyrus to a 6XPd with the internal DAC an upgrade or a downgrade from my current system?

Any ideas?

more or less totally pointless, if you want to upgrade the amp,get cyrus to make it into an 8xpd, main reason being the extra power will control your 685's better, You could then sell the dacmagic and put the money towards a psxr which would upgrade the amp further still

mind you i'd be upgrading the speakers before adding the psxr as the 685s wont be fulfilling the 8xpd's potential even before adding the psxr
