Yes it rejoined on Dec 8th along with C4s suite of music channels.

Presumably a result of Freesat merging with Digital UK earlier in the year, the organisation that runs Freeview, of which C4 is a shareholder, along with the BBC and ITV.

It's about time channel 4hd came back to freesat should have never left. While am here is there still the same gap between freesat and freeview on picture quality? I've never had freeview the price of getting somone putting up a freeview hd ariel to many Pennie's last time i price it couple year's back. Much difference between freesat channels or about the same?

Freesat is very slightly better, it seems to me.
Think there was a time (maybe still?) where one platform did 1080p HD, whereas the other did a 1080i maximum.

About time 4HD was back on Freesat. They were boasting new minority channels to the platform when they didn't even have that.

Could always get it by switching to 'Non-Freesat' mode on my Humax, but that was only 'now / next' EPG, with no timer record function.
