Buying cables

Hi,

I am wiring my house from scratch and wondering what cables I should be using ?

The house will be totally wired with cat6 cables and I want to put in all the cabling now so I can build the system once the house is built.

What cable should I be using for the speakers and what sort of price should I expect bulk buying?

Im going to need 20 ceiling speakers as well.

Hi P3t3 If I were you I would put a coduit system in so that you can add to or change your cable choice in the future it will cost a bit more but at this stage an easy job which will help to future proof your system also while you are at it you could install a deadicated mains supply which I am planning to do just before the new carpet arrives :cheers: and good luck I wish I had a blank canvas like you do

Ow yes it was always going to be wired via conduit.

My question is really whether or not I can just use normal speaker wire.. obviously some heavy duty stuff.. but anything in particular...
