Boston Acoustics Soundware XS is excellent for the money. You'll need an AV receiver to run it.

Don't know where you are on the planet, but if you're on my side of the pond look at Polk and Klipsch as real world price alternatives to Boston Acoustics. I once had a pair of Boston Acoustic MA-10 floorstanders with active subwoofers built into the base of each cabinet. The bass in the base was pretty potent, excellent for an AV setup but a tad overwhelming for hifi.

If it's of any help, I demoed Bose Lifestyle V35. I found it struggled with midrange and dialogue clarity. It was very good in the bass department.

Bose is for pizza restaurants and people who value style over sound. Go for anything but Bose.
