Bored with Rega....

Not strictly true. They make some great stuff. I'm fed up with the fanboys pushing Rega at every opportunity. Yes I do recommend leema Pulse but usually only when they are on offer.

The Leema and ClearAudio club is quite exclusive. Proud.

I agree. After 40 bl###y years it's about time Roy Gandy listened to you and packed it in along with his tedious little company.

Who wants good value, excellent sounding gear that's made in the UK anyway?

His many, many happy customers should just shut the .... up.

What always amazes me with many reviews of Rega turntables is the reference to noticeable wow on certain classical pieces of music. Back in the 60's and 70's any transcription turntable worthy of the name would have been totally slated for producing any noticeable wow or flutter on sustained notes.

Here ya go PP , think you may need it later on mate.....

Yes indeed.

They should all go and buy nice new expensive Origin Live turntables instead!

I don't think I can call my heavily modded P3-24 a Rega anymore, it's more an "InspOrigIsoRega".

Do people pimp Clearaudios in the same manner, or are they tip-top out of the box?

I would have loved a Clearaudio as my first t/t, but was too expensive to take the leap at that stage. Rega seems to have a good strategy for covering the budget bands.

A head-to-head showdown of pimped Regas would be an interesting article, though maybe we'd have to organise it ourselves.

The money some people apparently spend on pimping Planars might just as well be spent on buying a Clearaudio in the first place!

Is the RP8 at £1600 good value?

....... promptly ducks for cover....

No, no, it's true. We read far too much from happy Rega users. (B######s!)

It is eclipsing stuff we really want to hear more about. Like AVI ADM active speakers and their owner's comments. Those poor souls never get a decent hearing due to all the noise from Rega fans drowning them out.

I know - every evening I weep copius tears at the poor active users. Usually I lament: "Why? Why?" Think I'll light a candle this evening. Everyone should do this at least once a year to remember how sparse their threads are.

oh go on then carry on ! (its just i read your small speaker post and was getting worried i then read the Amp LS50 post and i knew all was well again)

I quiet like the Rega brand dont know why, for whats its worth i would not buy Naim at the moment, i dont know why dont like the styling and i dont like the noise on here. Strange hey? What makes us like or dislike brands?

PP, Rega are not the most anlytical, best built & best sounding.......

But hell they make music enjoyable!
