Bluray highdef hard disk recorders

Apart from those apparently now available in Japan, does anyone have any info on when we'll be getting dedicated bluray highdef recorders in Europe?

Well, back in February, Panasonic had this to say on the matter of Blu-ray recorders in Europe....

Haven't heard a peep since then!

You guys should petition Panasonic to bring this kit to the UK - I just bought a DMR-BW500 (on day of release here in Australis) and it totally rocks - BluRay play/record, twin HD tuners, 500GB HD, superb unit. On this subject - can anyone help with this?:- http://whathifi.com/forums/t/97373.aspx
