Blu Ray Problems With Hellboy 2

Hi,

Just after any advice please. I've got a Sony BDP S300 with the latest firmware, I think it's 4.4? Anyway, I bought Hellboy 2 on bluray and it plays beautifully until chapter 12 - right after the big fight with the plant thing and it freezes! The disk is spotless and there were no problems before then. If I go to scene selection and try to jump to scenes further on in the disk all I get is a black screen.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Could it be a layer thing (do blu ray disks have layers???) Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

mine played fine on my Panna 35.

Had similar issues with mine, can't remember at which point it was but will watch it again and make a note. Player is a Sony BDP S350, is on my LAN so has latest firmware

Hopefully it's just a batch of faulty disks and not an issue with the Sony players
