Blackberry 10 - will it save RIM?

RIM is launching Blackberry 10 & new devices including Blackberry Z10.

Looks good, but is it enough to get a foothold in the smartphone / tablet market?

And of course, if the platform succeeds, it may consider going Google way of licensing its OS & sell its hardware business:

Is there room for four platforms? They can't afford to be an also-ran, they can no longer rely on their reputation alone. Too many server outages mean they are no longer considered bomb proof. Does it do anthing the other three platforms don't?

There are some unique features:

But I think it's too late. Consumers should have a strong reason to ditch their existing OS for a new one.

My only experience with Blackberry (Storm) was a rather disappointing one. Brilliant OS to use, but too many glitches which rendered my phone next to useless. Restarting the phone took ages (something like 5 mins!).
