Biggest difference between Class A, A/B?

Hi everyone,

I'd like to know what's the difference between these two type of amplifiers? In what situations would one be better off with a pure class A than a class A/B or vice versa?

if your concerned about the environment or electricitty bills then avoid class a

sound wise its not clear ive heard some brilliant class a class ab and tube amps

as it happens i have a class a but bought it on sound quality not knowing that it was class a

your last question doesnt apply in that you can use either but practically speaking i think the more powerful amps tend to be class ab so if you need power then its class ab because you dont have a choice
