Is it OK to use big subwoofer with small loudspeakers? Will the bass dominate too much, or does amplifier keep up the right balance?

In my case it's cerwin's smallest home speakers (XLS-6) with the biggest subwoofer (XLS-15s)

This is not something I've ever tried but believe it's not ideal...... though if you insisted, then the sub would need a very subtle touch with set up.

It should work very well with some experimentation with setup.

You may wish to try running the speakers full range, and have the sub frequency set as low as possible and integrate the speakers/sub by fine tuning crossover and sub gain.

Or, you could use the subs speaker level crossover to remove the frequencies below 100hz from the speakers.

The latter method will allow more system SPL, but you may find that the subs position is too easy to locate when turned up with a 100hz crossover point.
